About this file
This is an Addendum 04 to Invitation to Bid (ITB) 00002596 providing scope of work clarifications for elevator modernization services in Oregon. The addendum addresses multiple clarifications and modifications to the original solicitation requirements. Key clarifications include specifications regarding elevator pit depth requirements, handrail installations, machine room ventilation standards, hoistway lighting provisions, and door operator specifications. The document provides detailed technical guidance on modernization standards, including requirements for cab finishes, landing door hardware, and safety equipment installations. Additional clarifications address the scope of work for various building locations and elevator systems included in the modernization project. The addendum confirms bidders must address all technical specifications and requirements outlined in the original ITB documents as supplemented by this addendum.
The addendum does not specify pricing terms, set-aside provisions, incumbent contractor information, or funding sources within its scope. Rather, it functions as a technical clarification document to ensure all bidders have a uniform understanding of the modernization requirements and standards that must be met. Bidders are required to incorporate these scope clarifications into their proposals and pricing in accordance with the original ITB timeline and submission requirements. The addendum maintains the competitive bidding process while reducing ambiguity regarding technical specifications and installation standards for the elevator modernization services.
