The contractor shall perform indexing and scanning of all paper patent application documents, quality review of electronically filed documents, patent data capture, and composition of patent applications for publication and issuance. The contractor must comply with applicable statutes, quality standards, and technical references provided in the forthcoming solicitation. Services will be delivered on a weekly schedule prior to publication Thursdays and issue Tuesdays. The Department of Commerce, United States Patent and Trademark Office is the contracting agency.

PE2E-eDRS
User Preferences
PE2E–eDRS users can adjust a number of Mailbox Viewer, Application Editor, and Application
Viewer features to meet personal preferences.
Set User Preferences
1. Click the arrow next to the user name in the top right corner of the PE2E-eDRS interface;
select Preferences; see Figure 1.
2. A PE2E Preferences window will open, select from the available preference options;
see Figure 2.
3. An asterisk will appear to the right of each preference as it is changed, reminding the user to save before exiting; see Figure 2.
4. After preferences are selected, click Save and Close in the PE2E Preferences window.
Appearance
• Select General Fonts from the Appearance menu; see Figure 3. Adjust the Font, Size, or style of lists within the Mailboxes and the Editor Contents and Application Contents tabs. Changes can be viewed in the Preview pane.
• Select Image Documents from the Appearance menu; see Figure 4. Click the box next to
Zoom to fit to select it, or use the Zoom level slider to adjust the default view of image documents.

• Select Text Documents from the Appearance menu; see Figure 5. Adjust the Font and the Zoom level to adjust the default view of text-formatted documents.
• Select Toolbar and Metadata Font from the Appearance menu; see Figure 6. Adjust the Font, Size, or Style of toolbars and tabs.

• Click TOC Color to change the Table of Contents font and background color for COPY, Not
Scanned, STAMP, and Scanned document types in the Editor Contents tab; see Figure 7.
• Click the Mailbox Message Color option to change Mailbox Message colors for Closed, Forwarded, Open, Pending, and New message types. Font and Background color can be changed;
see Figure 8.

Annotation Signature Setting
1. Select Annotation Signature Setting to view user information; see Figure 9.
2. Click in a field to edit First Name, Middle Initial, Last Name, or Initials.
3. Toggle the Include Date button to include, or not include, a date in the annotation signature.
See the Preview area to view how the signature will look; see Figure 9

NOTE
• The Annotation Signature settings change the user’s signature in the OC tool, as well as the DAV tool.
Application Viewer Options
1. Select Application Viewer Options to expand the menu.
2. Select Application to:
• Select whether applications open by default in a new tab or new window; see Figure 10.
• Disable warning messages that appear when closing the Docket Viewer or Application Viewer window.
• Determine the length of a tab name before it is abbreviated.
• Expand the Default Application Lookup menu and select a default document type.
3. Select Documents to:
• Choose to open text-formatted versions of documents by default, for documents that have text versions available; see Figure 11.
• Choose to Hide or Show canceled and/or withdrawn claims within the claims tree.

Accessibility Options
Select Accessibility Options; see Figure 12.
• By default, table pagination is disabled and users employ scrollbars to navigate long lists.
Use the radio button to Enable table pagination; with table pagination enabled, users navigate pages with arrows or type in a page number to jump to a specific page; see Figure 13.
• By default, an image document description hover-over, or tool tip, is disabled and no description is given when hovering the mouse over an image document. Use the radio button to Enable the image document description hover-over; see Figure 14.
