REFERENCES TO PaDaCap CONTRACTOR IN DATA ENTRY/PREPARATION MANUALS
The information in this bulletin will be included in the 2020 revisions of DATA ENTRY MANUAL FOR UTILITY PATENTS and
DATA PREPARATION MANUAL FOR PATENT
APPLICATION (PRE-GRANT) PUBLICATIONS.

Under the heading CFILE, in the second paragraph, “RTIS” is changed to “the PaDaCap contractor.”
16. Cooperative Patent Classification (CPC), Extract for CPC Database.
In the first paragraph “RTIS deliverables” is changed to “PaDaCap contractor deliverables.”
34. Sequence Listing, Data Source.
The paragraph with the side heading EXPORT OF CRF TO IDC is superseded by what is shown below.
EXPORT OF CRF TO IDC: PALM will be updated to show each application’s EIDC (EXPORT TO INITIAL DATA CAPTURE) date. Per the current procedures, each week the USPTO will produce a PUBS Sequence Report identifying the applications that meet two conditions: (a) the EIDC (EXPORT TO INITIAL DATA CAPTURE) date is during the preceding seven days and (b) the PALM contents listing shows a “CRF” code. The PUBS Sequence Report will be forwarded to the PaDaCap contractor. A copy of the CRF for each application listed on the report will be sent to the PaDaCap contractor at the time of allowance to serve as the data source for the capture of the Sequence Listing.
