About this file

This document contains an attachment for a federal contract opportunity notice of amendment. The amendment provides additional details for a solicitation seeking to establish a Central Africa Regional Environmental Center of Excellence (CEERC) to support the Central Africa Regional Program for the Environment's goal of maintaining the ecological integrity of humid forests in the Congo Basin. CEERC will reduce threats to biodiversity, carbon-rich forests, and peatlands in the Republic of Congo by supporting the establishment of sustainable "green industries" that improve environmental, social and economic conditions at a scale sufficient to significantly impact large areas and diverse populations. The center will work at multiple levels through coordination among government, private sector, civil society and local communities to facilitate investment in green economic development with conservation and sustainable forest management.
