About this file
This document contains a certification regarding trafficking in persons compliance plans that must be submitted by the apparent successful offeror prior to award for a contract estimated to exceed $500,000 involving supplies or services acquired or performed outside the United States. The certification requires the offeror to attest that it has implemented a compliance plan to prevent prohibited trafficking activities and monitor, detect, and terminate subcontracts engaging in such activities, and that after due diligence either the offeror and its agents are not engaged in prohibited activities or appropriate remedial actions have been taken if abuses have been found. The offeror must sign and date the certification.
This federal contract opportunity notice seeks proposals to deliver services in support of the Central Africa Regional Program for the Environment's objective to maintain the ecological integrity of the humid forest ecosystem in the Congo Basin. The selected contractor will reduce threats to biodiversity, carbon-rich forests, and peatlands in the Republic of Congo by supporting the establishment of sustainable "green industries" that improve forest and wildlife conservation and rural livelihoods at a sufficient scale. The contractor will work at multiple levels and coordinate with CARPE partners and local stakeholders to facilitate private sector linkages, knowledge sharing, and capacity building in support of green economic development as an alternative to unsustainable resource extraction.
