Emergency Spills What do I do if a spill occurs?
• Contact security (954-3444)
• Stop source of spill and control spread
(as applicable)
• Notify the construction inspector
MMAC Environmental and Safety Program The Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC) has an ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certified Environmental, Occupational Safety and Health Management System (EOSHMS)
In the event of emergency, or during a drill, follow the instructions of your construction superintendent. If you become separated from your superintendent,
• Seek assistance from the nearest employee
• Call MMAC security at 954-
3444 whenever you believe an emergency situation exists
• Follow the maps provided for the area you’re working in
All Contractor personnel are required by the contract to comply with environmental and safety operational controls that apply to this project. Operational Controls Applicable to
This Project Include:
Environmental (check all that apply):
Storm and Surface Water Discharges Solid Waste Generation (Recycling) Universal Waste (Batteries, Lamps, and Mercury-filled Equipment) Hazardous Material Storage Spill Prevention Toxic Substances (Asbestos and Lead Paint)
Safety (check all that apply):
Electrical Ergonomics Falls Physical
Contact AMP-100 at 954-3503 if:
• Asbestos material is discovered during construction activities
• You are removing light bulbs and ballasts (AMP-100 will provide containers)
• Your work requires confined space entry
• Your work requires energized work
Please remember that:
• All ladders at the MMAC must be used in a safe manner and in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications
• Contractors must practice safe lifting techniques
• Contractor must wear appropriate personnel protection equipment (PPE)
• Storm water inlets must be protected from erosion discharges (silt)
• Construction waste may not be dumped into storm water inlets
