PART 2 PRODUCTS
2.1 MATERIALS
A. Mixer/power amplifier: Dukane, Model 1A1660 or approved equal, capable of delivering 60 watts of continuous power with less than 1% harmonic distortion, 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz. The signal-to-noise ratio must be greater than 70 dB for auxiliary and telephone/page inputs. The frequency response must be 20 to 20,000 Hz plus or minus 1 dB at 9 dBa below rated output (direct) per EIA SE101A. Output must be 70.7 volt.
1. The mixer/power amplifier must have 6 inputs, and must utilize a telephone/page input module (Input 6) to interface with telephone line.
The unit must have both an electronic foldback and thermal overload protection circuit, both self-restoring. The mixer/power amplifier must have at least 30 dB of muting. Individual controls for inputs 1 to 5, tone controls, master control and illuminated power switch must be front panel accessible. The telephone/page control must be rear mounted.
2. The mixer/power amplifier must operate on 120 VAC, 60 Hz, and consume approximately 1.7 amperes at rated output. The unit must have
275116 - 2 approximate dimensions of 17" wide, 13" deep and 3.5" high, and must be rack mounted.
B. Provide wall mounted equipment rack for support of amplifiers and ancillary devices. Dukane #13A152 or approved equal.
C. Provide telephone/paging input module equal to Dukane Model 2A42.
D. Ceiling speaker assembly: Speaker must be 8-inch seamless cone type with additional high frequency cone and matching transformer, 10-ounce minimum ceramic magnet, 8 ohms impedance, equal to Dukane Model No. 5A607. Baffle must be circular design, molded of solid white, high-impact styrene, equal to Dukane Model No. 6A338.
E. Ceiling speaker backboxes: Round, equal to Dukane Model No. 8A300.
F. Speaker support bridge: Steel universal type, equal to Dukane Model 677-67.
G. Cables for speaker circuits: 2 - No. 16 AWG, twisted, unshielded pairs, West Penn #245 or approved equal, unless noted otherwise on the drawings.
PART 3 EXECUTION
3.1 INSTALLATION
A. All ceiling speakers must have line matching transformer taps set on 1/2-watt.
B. An operational test of the complete system must be conducted in the presence of the C.O.R. The Contractor must provide material and personnel required to conduct the test, and necessary adjustments must be made.
