17. 8-9-2023 8-23-2023 Spec 02 83 13.19 notes in paragraph B1 that the building/rooms/quantities noted below are for information purposes only and based on the best information available. Also, that contractor shall satisfy himself as to the actual quantities to be abated. There is no way for a contractor (per this spec direction) to determine actual and existing ACM outside this spec section as a detailed site pre-bid walk to determine actuals can not be performed.

Any additional ACM found in any building/floor/room will be assumed to be compensated for unforeseen conditions. Can you confirm that ACM abatement trade contractors can only be held to what is shown/known in these spec sections and that any discovered ACM not shown or known will be compensated as unforeseen conditions? Note also applies to spec section 02 82 11, 02 82 21.

72. 8-9-2023 8-23-2023 The existing computer room 124 in building 37 shows demolition of existing raised access flooring and replacing with static dissipative tile flooring.

The ceiling is removed and replaced with new tile ceiling; ceiling height remains unchanged. Fire sprinkler drawing SH001 notes in table a new below the floor height of 1'-4" in 'red' text. This shows that the existing volume 1275 CF is similar to new conditions of 1280.3 CF indicating a new raised flooring in new computer room layout.

Can you verify there is no new raised access floor in new computer room 124 layout? Can you verify that the CF has indeed increased with no new access flooring since that affects floor to ceiling height with increase of approximately 1,283.55 CF.

The ceiling is not being replaced; it is only being removed. The change in volume for all three calculations is related to the relocation of the wall (Plan West). A “new above ceiling” was shown to clarify which existing portions of the system were being discussed, refer to Detail 4 Note 1 on Sheet SH001 that indicates that the ceiling is being removed from this space.

79. 8-9-2023 8-23-2023 We are seeing long lead delivery periods for electrical gear, ATS, electrical panels, etc. Lead periods range from 18 to 24 weeks and up to 46 weeks depending on brand, make, model number etc. Has the VA/owner considered the current economy, supply chain issues with the POP of 365 days? Contractor's opinion is that the POP needs to be increased somewhat higher in calendar days than 365.

Due to the increased concern over the Period of Performance the VA will be extending it to 540 calendar days after notice to proceed.

80. 8/17/2023 Amendment 4 provided an updated table of contents (TOC). The critical spec sections for concrete (03 30 00) and masonry (04 20 00) are not listed on the revised TOC.
