About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) for the VA project "Modernize Short Stay" at the Ann Arbor VAMC (Project Number 506-21-103). The RFI, submitted by Asim Lodhi of RB Construction, seeks clarification about electrical specifications for a Linen/Utility Room and Equipment Alcove, specifically regarding wiremold raceways and multi-outlet assemblies. The RFI asks detailed technical questions about the power requirements, equipment specifications, and circuit configurations.
The VA's response, provided by Heapy Engineering and a VA Contracting Officer, indicates that the equipment alcove will contain standard mobile work stations and crash carts. The electrical specifications include a circuit per assembly run, with a duplex receptacle every 24", and a basis of design using Wiremold 3000 series or equivalent. The RFI was issued on 02/26/2025, with a response required by 03/10/2025, and the final response was dated 3/6/25.
