About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) for the VA Ann Arbor Modernize Short Stay Project (Solicitation No. 36C25025B0008). The RFI, submitted by Ted Smith of Daniels Building Company, seeks clarification on window shade specifications for the project located at 2215 Fuller Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48105. Specific questions from The Sheer Shop focus on whether window shades should be manual or motorized, the intent for dual manual shades, top treatment options, and installation details.
Key technical details include replacing Keynote 12.02 with Keynote 12.01 on Sheet A127, confirming all shades should be manual with a single closure mount, and determining the precise design intent for shade installation (such as recessed gypsum pocket, metal pocket with closure, or alternative top treatments). The RFI is time-sensitive, with a reply requested ASAP, and involves renovation work for the VA's patient short stay clinic, which includes upgrading various clinical spaces and systems.
