About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI) document submitted by Calvary Contracting, Inc. for Project 610-20-103 "Renovate Building 16" at the Department of Veterans Affairs facility in Marion, IN. The RFI (#1) dated January 14, 2025, seeks clarification regarding communication symbols and CAT6A cable requirements shown in drawings EG1001 and EY201-6.
The contractor identified discrepancies between the communication symbols legend and actual symbols shown on power plan drawings, specifically regarding empty triangles for communication locations and faceplate variations. Viridian Architectural Design responded on January 30, 2025, specifying that a 4-position outlet face should be installed with 2 CAT6 jacks populated and 2 blank spaces reserved for future use. The RFI was directed to Christopher C. Lee, Contracting Officer at the Department of Veterans Affairs in Indianapolis.
