About this file

This is a detailed technical specifications document for the renovation of Building 16 at the Marion VA Medical Center. The specifications outline requirements for converting the building into administrative office space to house the VA Northern Indiana Health Care System's Director, Executive Leadership Team, and other administrative departments. The document includes comprehensive specifications across multiple divisions including architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing requirements for the renovation project.

The specifications detail extensive interior and exterior building upgrades, including demolition work, new finishes, accessibility improvements, HVAC system modifications, electrical system upgrades, fire protection systems, and security features. The project will be phased to maintain circulation between the connected Buildings 15 and 17 while Building 16 is unoccupied during renovation. The specifications provide detailed material requirements, installation procedures, testing protocols, and quality control measures that contractors must follow for each building system and component.
