About this file
This document is an electrical schedule and notes sheet detailing mechanical equipment connections for what appears to be a chiller replacement project. The document includes a mechanical equipment connection schedule listing both existing and new equipment specifications, including chillers, cooling pumps, heat circulation pumps, and small pumps, along with their respective voltage requirements, phases, and load specifications. The scope of work involves the demolition of existing chillers and selected pumps, including the removal of associated electrical components such as conduit, conductors, junction boxes, and supports.
The technical specifications require the electrical contractor to follow current National Electrical Code requirements for conduit fill, verify voltage drops, and confirm all dimensions prior to work commencement. Notable requirements include independent mounting of heavy-duty disconnects from mechanical units, coordination with mechanical drawings for equipment connections, and specific requirements for fire/smoke dampers and duct detectors. The document also specifies that addressable detectors with integral contacts will be provided by Division 28, installed by Division 23, with power wiring by Division 26 and control wiring by Division 28. All electrical installations must comply with NFPA 72 standards and receive architectural approval for device locations.

DEMOLITION SCOPE OF WORK:
SCOPE: THE SCOPE OF WORK INCLUDES THE REMOVAL OF
THE EXISTING CHILLER AND SELECTED PUMPS. THE WORK
WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO DEMOLITION (SEE
BELOW) OF THE POWER, AND MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT
INCLUDING BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO CONDUIT, CONDUCTORS,
JUNCTION BOXES AND SUPPORTS. THE DEMOLITION OF
MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT WILL BE BY OTHERS, THE
ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR WILL DISCONNECT THE
EQUIPMENT PRIOR TO REMOVAL.
DEMOLITION: ELECTRICAL DRAWINGS ARE DIAGRAMMATIC,
DEMOLITION INFORMATION HAS BEEN LISTED ON THE
CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS, IN THE SPECIFICATIONS OR
INDICATED BELOW. ELECTRICAL DEVICES AND EQUIPMENT
ARE FROM PICTURES, EXISTING RECORD DRAWINGS AND / OR
SITE OBSERVATIONS. THEIR ACCURACY IS NOT GUARANTEED.
IT SHALL BE THE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS RESPONSIBILITY
TO VISIT THE SITE PRIOR TO BID AND VERIFY ALL EXISTING
CONDITIONS AND INCLUDE ALL LABOR AND MATERIAL
REQUIRED FOR THE WORK INDICATED IN THE CONSTRUCTION
SET.
THE PURPOSE OF THE DEMOLITION INFORMATION IS TO
OUTLINE A GENERAL DIRECTION OF WHAT NEEDS TO BE
REMOVED TO ACCOMPLISH THE RENOVATION WORK. THE
WORK IS DIAGRAMMATIC IN NATURE AND IS NOT INTENDED TO
BE ALL INCLUSIVE. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE TO
VERIFY EXISTING CONDITIONS AT THE SITE AND INCLUDE ALL
WORK EVIDENT BY SITE INSPECTION WHETHER OR NOT
SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS, TO ACHIEVE THE DESIRED
RESULTS INDICATED ON THE DOCUMENTS FOR THE FINISHED
SPACES.
POWER - EXISTING POWER DEVICES WILL BE REMOVED
UNLESS NOTED OTHERWISE ON DRAWINGS. REMOVE DEVICES
AND ASSOCIATED CIRCUITING INCLUDING BUT NOT BE
LIMITED TO CONDUIT, CONDUCTORS, AND SUPPORTS BACK TO
PANEL.
MECHANICAL - SEE MECHANICAL DRAWINGS FOR DEMOLITION
OF EXISTING MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT.
MECHANICAL DEMOLITION - ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR WILL
DISCONNECT THE POWER AND ASSOCIATED CIRCUITING
INCLUDING BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO CONDUIT, CONDUCTORS,
AND SUPPORTS BACK TO PANEL
