2. Please confirm NPS intends to award this project by the end of FY 2022 or late September 2022.

a. The intentions are to award this project by the end of FY22.

5. Sheet CS.1 General Note #6 references 01010 for a list of permits the Contractor needs to obtain. We did not see a specific list or permit provided. Please provide

a. General Note #6 should reference section 011100 rather than 01010; this is a typographic error only and does not otherwise change the requirement. Section 011100 establishes the responsibility of the Contractor to obtain and maintain permits where required. No permits are required of the Construction Contractor at the time of this solicitation to complete the work as designed. The requirements remain in effect should unforeseen or differing site conditions arise that encumber different permitting requirements in the future.

6. Is the lighthouse currently leaning out of plumb?

a. The lighthouse was not surveyed for lean or plumbness during the design phase and therefore NPS has no objective metric by which to evaluate or respond to this question. At this time there is no requirement in the contract documents to alter the alignment of the lighthouse.

7. Please confirm an owner’s office is not required.

a. No, an owner’s office is not required.

8. Where is the location of water and 120v electric per C.12 in the Solicitation (page 9/64).

Should water and electricity not be readily available, the contractor shall provide these services as needed to perform the required work.” Water (potable and non-potable) and 120V electricity are not readily available on-site. The Offeror must provide these services as needed to perform the required work.

9. Specification 040120.64 Brick Masonry Repointing calls for the brick pier masonry joints (Bid Item 7) to be measured and paid by the LF instead of SF. Please correct on bid form.

a. The bid form is corrected for bid item 7.

10. Do the brick masonry piers require general cleaning and paint removal? Please confirm they do not require new paint.

a. Yes, brick masonry piers require general cleaning and paint removal This requirement is established on Sheets D3.1 and D3.2; the demolition note in legend states to “remove existing paint at masonry piers” where indicated by diagonal hatch. NPS confirms no new paint shall be applied.

11. Please confirm extent of masonry work is the installation of the (4) new precast plinths per detail 3/S5.1 and repointing of the brick piers.
