About this file
This is Amendment 01 to Solicitation 1240LT26Q0003 for the Strawberry-Kamas Bunkhouse Renovations project on the Uinta/Wasatch/Cache National Forest, issued February 23, 2026. The amendment extends the proposal submission deadline from February 27, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. to March 13, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. MST, and extends the deadline for submitting inquiries from February 17, 2026 to March 3, 2026 at 4:30 p.m. MST. The amendment modifies technical specifications for both the Kamas and Strawberry Administrative Sites, including changes to building references (Bldg #1063 to Bldg #1065), deletion of language in the asbestos abatement section, clarification that door hardware work involves replacing doorknobs with lever-type handles only (not full door replacement), and addition of requirements to demo and install lever-type handle faucets in three specified buildings.
The amendment includes a Question and Answers section addressing pricing (no price quote limit; the stated range is informational only), project tax status (not tax exempt; all applicable Federal, State, and local taxes must be included per FAR 52.229-3), site access (exteriors are available for visual inspection; interiors are not available due to current occupancy), flooring product specifications (equivalent products acceptable per specifications sections 096519, 096816, 096813), equipment inspection responsibility (COR responsible prior to mobilization), and project completion deadline (all work must be completed by April 1, 2027). The amendment also addresses worker accommodations (on-site camping in personal RVs requires District Ranger approval after award) and notes that floor plans for the Kamas West House will be provided in Amendment 02, which will be posted within the next week with additional changes and clarifications.
