About this file
This document is an affirmation of compliance with the Utah Government Records Access and Management Act (GRAMA) issued by Salt Lake City Corporation's Department of Airports in connection with a solicitation for baggage handling system maintenance and repair services at Salt Lake City International Airport. Respondents to this solicitation must acknowledge their understanding of GRAMA requirements and sign the affirmation as part of their proposal submission. The document establishes the framework for how confidential business information will be handled throughout the procurement process.
The affirmation requires respondents to understand that they bear the burden of claiming exemptions from public disclosure for confidential materials such as trade secrets, pricing, and non-public financial information. Respondents must submit written claims of exemption at the time of proposal submission, including a concise statement of reasons, a redacted version of the proposal omitting confidential information, and an unredacted version for internal review. The City will promptly notify respondents of any disclosure requests for claimed confidential materials, and respondents may take appropriate actions at their own expense to prevent disclosure. The document specifies that making a confidentiality claim does not guarantee protection, and respondents waive any claims against the City related to disclosure of materials required by GRAMA.
