Type of Notice: Sources Sought Title12905B22SS0057– Sources Sought for Track Mounted Drilling Rig System Description: This is a Sources Sought notice Only. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. This Sources Sought is issued for information and planning purposes only as part of USDA ARS market research and does not itself constitute an RFQ. This requirement is covered under NAICS code 334519. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of qualified sources; Small Businesses; HUBZone small business; service-disabled, veteran-owned small business; 8(a) small business; veteran-owned small business; woman-owned small business; or small disadvantaged businesses; Responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. This Special Notice announces the U.S. Air Force's intent to sole source a contract to GEFCO Inc. for diagnosis and repair of a 2013 GEFCO 50K-T Well Water Drilling Machine owned by the 819th Redhorse Squadron at Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana.
The well drilling machine requires a complete overhaul and repair of various components. The notice specifies the need for repairs such as pump pistons, oil stop head ring, cylinder head gasket, rubber liner sleeves, and other parts. Responses to this non-competitive solicitation must demonstrate how competition would benefit the government and are due no later than July 2, 2020 by 2:00 PM MST to the contract specialist listed. Only GEFCO Inc. is eligible as the original equipment manufacturer to perform the specialized diagnosis and repairs required for this well drilling machine.
