Building 17904 work encompasses installing fire protection liner panels and protective trim on ground floor doors and shutters; replacing door and shutter framing while preserving structural columns and headers; replacing four exterior personnel doors with sliding locks; installing a new double-swinging self-closing door in the burn room; replacing nine window shutters; repainting all exterior and interior metal surfaces with marine grade enamel; installing an FDC Siamese fitting with internal 444 Tee fitting; replacing sprinkler head and piping; performing 5,000-pound pull tests on four rappel anchors; installing a 12-foot ship's ladder with fall protection; and replacing the roof hatch with stainless steel.
All design work must be stamped by a licensed professional engineer with live fire training structure experience and comply with NFPA 1402.
