Project Description
The Tongass National Forest (TNF) under the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a single Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) construction contract to the Offeror based on FAR 15.101-2, Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) evaluation factors. The period of performance is anticipated to be 540 days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
This project will be funded and work accomplished in phases, therefore, will contain Base work and options.
Base work will include Initial Site work including blasting, interior demolition, Woodshop Conversion and Building shell work.
Options are being developed for 2 phases of interior work and final site work.
This facility is subject to Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Silver submittals and certifications. Please note - The Government will retain a stated amount from the final payment until final completion of the LEED certification process.
The property will be improved through demolition of the existing structures and new construction improvements for drives and parking. Renovations will occur to the existing 10,892sf Warehouse and will add 1,420sf of space for the front entry, stairs, and biomass heating. Also the 675sf Auto/Wood Shop building will be renovated to serve as the supporting Warehouse space.
The magnitude, including base and all options, is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.
Prospective Offerors are responsible for downloading the solicitation and any documents related to this procurement when available. It is the Offeror's responsibility to monitor the FBO website for the release of the solicitation and amendments. Offerors must be active in SAM in accordance with FAR 52.204-7.
