About this file

This document outlines infection control precautions for a Class III water distribution upgrade project at the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. The project, solicitation number 36C25622R0067, aims to upgrade the main hospital's water distribution system through a construction contract awarded by the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 16. The precautions specify protective measures to be implemented during construction such as maintaining negative air pressure and HEPA filtration within the work site, carefully removing barriers once work is complete, and scheduling a terminal cleaning. Exceptions to the precautions require approval on a case by case basis from Infection Prevention.
