AIRCRAFT ALERT SHELTERS
Provide all Provide all material, equipment and supplies to manufacture and deliver the following:
Four Fabric Tension shelters consisting of the following dimensions: 78 Ft. wide x 80 Ft. long x 43 Ft. Center Height with 30 Ft. Side Wall Height. (Big Top Shelters or Equal) Each shelter shall have:
- 28 Oz. PVC flame retardant fabric cover with polyester scrim in translucent white – (fabric ends will be at ground level)
- Frame members to be 30 inch - four chord heavy wall galvanized tubular steel truss design
- All weld joints cold galvanized and zinc coated for corrosion protection
- All connections will consist of plate to plate junctions w/A-325 structural bolts
- Base system construction to allow shelter to be built on existing concrete foundation
- Anchors to be provided
- Two access end panels. Each end panel to accept a 65 Ft. wide x 26 Ft. tall door. End panels will have all necessary framing and structural support system to install the overhead doors.
- Two personnel 3 Ft. x 7 Ft. hollow steel doors w/heavy duty steel frame w/locking levers. One door per side wall at opposite ends of shelter. Doors to open from the outside to the inside.
- Each shelter to have four side wall field installed flange ducts w/weather seals (2-6 inch and 2-12 inch) -location of duct flanges TBD during erection of shelters
- Shelters will be designed to withstand wind loads of up to 110MPH and snow loads of up to 40 lbs. per sq. ft.
- Shelters will have a minimum of a 10 year warranty.
- INSTALLATION
- Provide all supervision, labor and equipment to erect the stress tensioned fabric shelters IAW manufacturers installation instructions.
- OVERHEAD DOORS
- Each fabric door to have two high speed motors and winches (480 Volts) to allow rapid raising of the doors (60 sec.) fully open w/failsafe manually operated – hand crank/drill operated capability. Doors to be designed to handle 26 PSF wind loads (Megadoor or equal). Doors will be operated by individual switches in each shelter and also to be operated from a remote location. Due to remote operation, doors cannot be clamped or secured with wind locks unless the wind locks automatically release when door is opened. Doors in each shelter are to have a 3 sec. time delay when opening between front and rear doors to minimize spiking.
- INSTALLATION
- Provide all supervision, labor and equipment to erect the overhead doors IAW manufacturers installation instructions.
- LIGHTING
- Provide and install 32 total TFL 400MRA 400 Watt Metal Halide Flood Fixtures (480Volts) (8 per shelter) in each fabric tension shelter. Include materials, equipment and labor.
- Provide and install 100A panel box, lighting contactors, RELOC wiring, hangers, switches and outlets.
- Fixtures are to be rated at the same wind load of the shelters and if required installed w/seismic suspensions.
- LIGHTNING PROTECTION SYSTEM
- Provide all materials, equipment and labor to install a complete Faraday Cage lightning protection system on stress tensioned fabric structures. System to include all masts, cables, downleads, grounding rods and all all associated hardware.
- INNER LINERS
- Provide all materials, labor and equipment required to install 18 Oz. PVC flame retardant vinyl inner liners in stress tensioned fabric structures. Fabric to have grommets that allow tying the liner to the frame and a velcro flap to seal the junction seams. Liners to be installed in the entire shelter to include end panels except for the overhead doors.
