About this file
This document is a set of specifications for the construction of a KC-46 Two-Bay Maintenance/Fuel Cell Hangar at March Air Reserve Base in California. The project has an estimated construction cost between $100,000,000 and $250,000,000 and is a full and open procurement with a HUBZone 10% price evaluation preference. The solicitation includes multiple volumes of technical plans and specifications covering architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and other disciplines. Key requirements include:
- Constructing a KC-46 two-bay maintenance hangar and associated mooring points and restriping at March Air Force Base
- Meeting OSHA, NFPA, and other applicable safety and performance standards
- Providing fall protection systems, horizontal lifeline systems, and related safety equipment
- Furnishing and installing various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Coordinating telecommunications infrastructure and integration with the furniture/equipment package The procurement is using a best value/tradeoff source selection methodology, and technical inquiries must be submitted through the PROJNET system. Proposal submission details and evaluation criteria are located in Section 00 22 00.
