HOMOGENEOUS MATERIAL SAMPLING AREA SUMMARY
SURFACING MATERIALS
There were no suspect surfacing materials identified in the building during this asbestos survey.
THERMAL SYSTEM INSULATING MATERIALS
HA-05
HA-06
Pipe Straight Run Insulation with White Mastic
This homogeneous sampling area includes pipe straight run insulation with white mastic on hot and cold water pipes located throughout the building on the 1st and 2nd floors and in mechanical rooms. A total of seven samples of this material were collected during this survey, and all of the samples tested negative for asbestos.
NOTE: It is possible, due to the age of the building, that older types of pipe insulation could still be present in areas behind plaster walls or in pipe chases, which were inaccessible at the time of this inspection without conducting wall demolition and destructive sampling. If, during renovation activities, additional pipe insulation is discovered in any such areas, it should be assumed to be asbestos-containing (ACM) until it can be tested and proven otherwise.
Pipe Fitting Insulation with White Mastic
This homogeneous sampling area includes pipe fitting insulation with white mastic on pipes located throughout the building on the 1st and 2nd floors and in mechanical rooms. A total of nine samples of this material were collected during this survey, and all of the samples tested negative for asbestos.
