About this file
This document is a 2025 Hazard Tree Survey for Kaiyuh Services, detailing comprehensive tree pruning and maintenance requirements across multiple locations including Cantonment, Ranges, State Patrol Building, Commemorative Area, and various building complexes (NOC, 2840, etc.). The survey focuses on structure pruning needs, identifying specific trees requiring interventions such as removing dead limbs, cutting girdling roots, raising tree canopies, and managing V crotches to improve tree health and strength.
The survey provides granular instructions for each location, categorizing trees by type (maple, oak, hackberry, basswood, etc.) and specifying precise pruning actions. Key recommendations include structure pruning for young trees, removing crossed and rubbing limbs, cutting small girdling roots, and eliminating dead or dying trees. The document also indicates that training will be provided to the crew on proper pruning techniques, with some trees specifically designated as "training trees" to demonstrate correct pruning methods. Notable locations like the Headquarters and NOC have multiple trees requiring extensive pruning, particularly maple and crab apple trees with structural issues.

Rectangle
This tree survey is different than the past. We are to concentrate on the pruning/trimming needs of the small canopy trees in the Cantonment and the
Ranges.
To determine the pruning requirements in this report and to flag the, with ribbon, trees that need this pruning.
Steve will come and train for the proper pruning of the trees. Also highlighted in bold. Are the trees that need to be structure pruned. Training will be offered to help the crew learn structure pruning for the future health and strength of the tree. And address the cutting of girdling roots and young tree pruning.
Cantonment area:
#1: East side- 6 maples- raise up 6 to 7 feet, remove tight V crotches- cut girdling roots on maples to the north by the road.
#2: North side by road- raise up 6 to 7 feet, 1 maple to the west, cut 2 girdling roots, close to the road intersection. The 3rd maple from the east of this group has a small girdling root, cut this.
#3: West side- 6 maples- raise up 6 to 7 feet. Remove 1 or 2 tight V crotches.
#1: North side-one walnut - raise up 6 to 7 feet.
#2: Northwest side -one walnut, raise up 6-7 feet.
#1: Southeast side of building- raise up 2 crabs over sidewalk and prune dead limbs.
#2: Southwest side, near main entrance-one basswood, raise up 6 to 8 feet.
Northside, near the solar panels -newly planted basswood and then north of this basswood is a newly planted maple. Both these newly planted trees need young tree pruning. 2 or 3 limbs pruned off. Then leave the best limb to make the central leader of each tree.
#1: Front of building- northwest, hackberry by side parking lot. Raise up 6 feet, remove lowest tight V limb.
#2: Next tree to the south of the hackberry. Structure prune needed. Cut the lowest 3 limbs. Also prune off any rubbing and crossing limbs. Also cut off one of the limbs at the V.
#3: Third tree to the south. Structure prune needed. Raise up for mowing, remove rubbing and crossed limbs. On double V limbs, prune off the 2 outside limbs to leave a central lead.
#4: Southeast by driveway, which is the back side of building. Raise up 2 river birch for mowing.
#5: Back of building by driveway parking lot. One dying maple, planted too deep, remove.
1571 Far west side of parking lot area, smalltrees.
#1: 2 maples north end of parking lot. Tight V crotches, prune limb with ribbon on.
#2: 1 Maple, far east end of parking lot. Prune 1 marked limb with ribbon on.
#3: 3 Basswood trees, marked with ribbon, just north of the 2 maples. Prune limbs with ribbon on.
Gas station, westside by air pump. 2 maples, both trees with tight V crotches. Prune one to leave one main leader in each tree.
