Question: There seems to be a conflict between the desired extinction for effective range and the extinction required for suppression range. Please explain.?

Answer: The Government does not understand the question, specifically the part ""…it must fall to almost zero with 3 times the detector area [Table 7].

However, the point target test is strictly measuring the number of ""Kill"" messages and the suppression test measures ""Hit"", ""Near Miss"" and ""Kill"". At 20 deg. C, the point target test permits for <20% of ""Hit"" or ""Kill"" messages to go past the roll off requirement - it is typically impossible for ""Kill"" messages to no longer exist past the indicated roll of range."

14. On page 36, Attachment 2, DO 1 Performance Spec, Section 3.14.5.3 states, “All I-MILES VTESS wireless components shall have field replaceable batteries. 50. Question: "Section 3.7.3 of the DO 0001 SOW states that “The contractor shall provide support and management of site logistical operations to obtain a Government designated readiness rate of 99 percent.” Since site readiness depends in part on resources that are in control of the Government (and not the contractor), the 99% readiness rate should be stated as an objective, not an explicit requirement. This requirement also appears to be in conflict with the reliability and maintainability values called out in the DO 0001 System Specification."

59. Clause 252.204-7012 Safeguarding of Unclassified Controlled Technical Information

The interim rule issued by the US Department of Defense on 26 August 2015 expanded the 2013 amendment to the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) 252.204-7012, imposing heightened security safeguards and mandatory reporting requirements on DoD contractors handling Covered Defense Information (CDI). The rule requires that contractors apply a minimum set of protective measures and security controls to safeguard CDI resident on or passing through their information systems and to ensure procedures are in place to promptly report and investigate cyber incidents.

CDI is defined as unclassified information that is generated by or provided to the contractor by the DoD in performance of the contract that falls into one of four categories. These categories include controlled technical information, critical information (for operations security), certain export control information, and any other information identified in the contract, marked or otherwise, as requiring safeguarding.

Question: Will the Government please identify the Unclassified Technical Controlled Information and Controlled Defense Information for IMILES VTESS that is covered under this clause?
