3.0 SCOPE OF WORK:
3.1. KAZCENT Conference Center:
Work will be completed in accordance with 100% design provided as an addendum to this SOW. KazCent Conference Center is a single-story building with a mezzanine floor, which covers approximately 1/ 3 of the total foot area of the building. The building is rectangular in plan with the dimensions of 30.1 5x1 4.55 m, as column grids are 5.85 x 6.825 m.
The design includes a large conference room, which could be divided into 3 smaller conference rooms with movable wall panels. The large conference room has a stage at the north end and mezzanine floor at the south end. The conference rooms are technically and functionally designed as they can be used as merged or separately.
The lobby area is longitudinal extending from cloak room to south (side) entrance. This area will be used as foyer and lounge area, where visitors will be hosted prior to conferences or at interludes. Access to the mezzanine floor will be provided by a decorative round stair, located at the south side of the lobby area.
This longitudinal area also extends to the south entrance and the restroom area.
Conference rooms will be flexible in use with the help of movable (acoustical) wall panels. They could be either merged as a single large room (including mezzanine), or could be used as separate rooms, when the attendees are less. Tables and chairs will be movable so sitting arrangement could be modified with different setups such as theatre sitting, classroom sitting, board room sitting, or hollow square sitting.
The building and all common areas (except the mezzanine) will be accessible by disabled people. Two main entrance doors and three emergency exits will be led by ramps with proper slope. The ramps will be provided with the required dimensions, slopes and features such as handrails and detectible warning tiles as required in SN RK 3.06-01 -2011. All flooring surf ace materials will be non-slippery, in order to provide safety precautions for disabled people. From parking lot to the south entrance, continuous detectable warning tiles will be installed. Likewise, the beginning and ending of all ramps will be indicated by the warning tiles. Please refer to general plan for more information about the location of tiles.
All emergency egresses are designed as complying the minimum required dimensions for disabled people.
There will be a dedicated restroom for disabled people designed according to turning radius and including grab bars and emergency button.
3.2. Demolition:
The plan set shows two existing buildings to be demolished. The Contractor shall demolish both buildings per the drawings. Those buildings have already been demolished; therefore the Contractor is not responsible for demolition of those buildings.
