1.0 SCOPE

1.1 Introduction

This Statement of Work (SOW) defines the requirements for the supplies and services required to plan, manage, and execute the engineering and manufacture of the Shipping and Storage Container (SSC), Guided Missile, P/N 13556595 for the Joint Air-to-Ground Missile (JAGM) Low-Rate Initial Production (LRIP) Phase.

1.2 Background

JAGM is an air-to-surface missile for use by Joint Service Rotary Wing (RW) and Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) for destruction of high value stationary, moving, and relocatable land and maritime targets from standoff range in day, night, adverse weather, and obscured battlefield conditions. JAGM will be compatible with all joint force and allied RW and UAS that are currently compatible with the HELLFIRE II missile. JAGM will integrate the HELLFIRE Romeo propulsion, warhead, and control sections with the advanced seeker and guidance technologies combining multiple sensors to provide improved Precision Point and Fire and Forget targeting for capability in adverse weather against fast moving and stationary targets in dirty battlefield/countermeasure intensive environments. Future improvements may also provide greater range and passive engagement capability. JAGM's Integrated Fire and Forget and Precision Point targeting capability addresses the following capability gaps:

• Simultaneous engagements of one or more Time Sensitive Moving or Stationary targets

• High Value Covered or Sheltered Targets

• Countermeasure and/or Dirty Battlefield Intensive Environments

• Environments that deny use of Laser designators or Global Positioning System (GPS)

• Survivability of Laser Designating operator/platform

• Logistics Simplicity

• High-speed water craft/patrol craft, fast moving targets and non-traditional target set

• Low Cloud Ceiling and Adverse Weather

The SSC will provide protection for one JAGM from the conditions encountered during transportation and storage. A single container design will be used for Army and Navy applications.

1.3 System Description

The JAGM System is defined in MIS-PRF-54639 as:
