ACCOMPANYING AMENDMENT – VA69D-18-B-1687 00004

COMPLETE 1ST & 2ND FLOORS BUILDING 405

TOMAH VA MEDICAL CENTER, TOMAH, WI

I. THE FOLLOWING CHANGES ARE TO BE MADE ON PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS:

NONE

II. THE FOLLOWING CHANGES ARE TO BE MADE ON PROJECT DRAWINGS

1. Sheet AS-920 “door schedule”, added doors 2510.1 & 2510.2 to schedule

2. Sheet AS-920 “door schedule”, adjusted quantity and rating on cross corridor doors 5C22 & 5C26.

The above changes are noted on VA69D-18-B1687 00003; however, the drawing was not attached to Amendment 00003. It is attached to this amendment. (VA69D-18-B-1687 00004)

3. Sheet MH-606 “FCU schedule” revised to reflect “typical” drawing border and renamed from “S06 - Amendment 00003 - sDetail-Div23-Schedules” to “S06 - Amend 00004 - B405-MH-606-Pre-Bid_revision”

III. THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS / CLARIFICATIONS ARE THE RESULT OF BIDDERS REQUEST(S) FOR INFORMATION:

Question 71: SSTV: Provide additional servers (2) in support of the campus wide cctv system. Existing servers are located in building 408, and the new servers shall be fully integrated into the existing system. Increased capacity is required to support the additional cameras being added to the system via this project.

Q1 - The existing Milestone XProtect Corporate 5.0 VMS Software Support agreement expired on May 18, 2013. Camera Driver Support, Server Storage Support and Technical Support cannot be obtained unless a "new" support agreement is purchased. In the process of adding additional servers and external storage devices the software support listed earlier would also have to be proposed. Is this the intent of this solicitation to include this pricing? The support agreement is based upon the total amount of camera licenses that are on the system and at this time the total is 304.

Answer 1: The facility has 304 camera seats but is currently only utilizing 281 of the 304. We have seats available to support the added cameras. We do not intend on seeking added technical support agreements with “Milestone” (camera or server storage ). Omit servers and storage, and utilize existing camera seats to activate/ ”pull in” the added cameras.

Q2 - The "new" servers would be installed in the existing rack located in B408, is there enough room and ports available to install (2) 2U components?

Answer 2: There is enough room and available ports to install (2) 2U components

Q3 - The "new" servers would also require adding to the existing "Extended Storage" devices. These (4) devices that are in place provide for 54TB of Raid 6 each for a total of up to 212TB. Is the intent of this project to add to the "Extended Storage" additional 54TB's of storage or utilize the existing platform? If this extended storage is needed, is there enough room in the existing rack to add the 4U component?

Answer 3: The intent is to add additional “extended storage”. There is enough in the existing rack to add the 4U component.

Question 72: Burglar Alarm:

Q1 - In the plans on 405 ET102A, is the Burglar Alarm Panel showing to be installed in Comm Rm 2553 still required per VA Tomah. If so we will provide pricing applicable to add the devices. It has been our experience over the past months that this is no longer a requirement and it is not currently being utilized by VA Tomah Answer 1: Omit the burglar alarm panel at 2553.

Question 73: Referencing Amendment #3, question # 39, regarding Detail 1 / AS900. In prior construction of 1st and 3rd floor of Bld 405, the same question was proposed regarding 33 mil deflection track. Please see attached RFI 55 to same question.

Answer 73: Please utilize the deep leg deflection track as shown on 1 / AS900
