About this file

This document is a site implementation plan template for security equipment deployment services at airport checkpoints. The template provides guidance on roles and responsibilities, site validation, tasks required at specific checkpoints including equipment deployment and restoration work, a site schedule with preparatory work and daily activities over four days, CCTV needs by checkpoint, and special site considerations. It also includes appendices with equipment lists, a rigging report, and statements of work for equipment movement, electrical, and general contractor services. The related federal contract opportunity is a special notice for a security equipment deployment services contract for checkpoint with an estimated value to provide these services nationwide. Interested offerors are requested to review the draft statement of work and provide any questions or comments by January 6, 2020. The Transportation Security Administration plans to release a request for proposal for this requirement during the second quarter of fiscal year 2020.

The site validation should review the infrastructure of the relevant Airport building (electrical, floor loading, ceiling height, floor slopes, camera position views and duress alarms where required), the dimensions provided in the drawings, any hazardous material abatement requirements, and any other pertinent data. The site validation is an opportunity to make changes to the drawings in order that existing core drills can be reused or discuss any other proactive measures that could simplify the project, save money and/or provide a better design for the end users.
