About this file

This is a technical specification document for the Nevada Department of Public Safety's Records, Communication and Compliance Division (NVDPS RCCD) describing the Livescan Table Update Web Service requirements that vendors must support. The specification outlines a web service solution designed to provide Nevada RCCD staff with the ability to apply livescan table updates by pulling updates from state tables and publishing them for livescans to retrieve nightly. The service currently manages ORI, NCIC codes, and NOC codes, with provisions for future expansion. Livescan vendors are required to remain in compliance with the tables provided through the TableCatalogAPI web service and must check the web service nightly after 0400 local time in Carson City, Nevada to identify any table updates made within the previous 24 hours. The specification includes access endpoints for retrieving table lists and individual tables, with available data categories including country, eye color, hair color, NOC codes, ORI codes, race, sex, and states.

Vendors responding to the associated Livescan Machines procurement must ensure their solutions comply with the nightly table update requirements specified in this document as part of broader FBI Electronic Biometric Transmission Specification (EBTS) standards and modern authentication requirements. The state will conduct daily checks of state tables at 0400 local time in Carson City, Nevada, requiring vendors to implement automated systems capable of retrieving and applying updates to livescan devices across all 25 procurement locations. This technical integration is mandatory for the new livescan solutions being deployed to sheriff's offices, parole and probation offices, detention centers, and police departments throughout Nevada counties, with vendors required to demonstrate full compliance with these web service specifications during implementation and ongoing operations.

NVDPS Livescan Table Update Web Service 1.0

Purpose: The purpose of this web service is to provide Nevada RCCD staff with the ability to apply livescan table updates. This solution can pull updates from state tables and publish them for the livescans to pull nightly. These tables currently include ORI, NCIC codes, and NOC codes at this time but may be expanded in future updates to the specifications.

Expectations: Livescan Vendors will be expected to remain in compliance with the tables that are provided in the webservice. Livescan Vendors will be expected to check the web service nightly after

0400 local time in Carson City, Nevada to determine if any table updates have been made in the last 24 hours. If updates have been made, then Livescan Vendors are expected to apply these to their livescans throughout the state to remain in compliance with the latest tables.

Web Service Details: All Tables are made available through our TableCatalogAPI web API at NV.
