DSS-SOC IDIQ RFP N6660419R0284 - Industry Questions and Responses Response #4

Question

Section Page # Industry Questions/Recommendations NUWCDIVNPT Responses

18 L 95

The Government’s answer to question #3 provided in Amendment 2 states "For the Hypothetical tasks the page limitation has been changed to 1 page per task. This equals 8 pages for Non DSS-SOC tasks...".

However Section L, Paragraph 3.2.1 requires that for each task contractors provide a narrative of the process used, process steps, breakout of materials, applicable references and documents, potential risks and mitigation plans and assumptions. The page count required for these responses naturally varies depending on the task requirements.

For example, Installation tasks naturally require more extensive materials than an engineering task.

REQUEST: We request that the Government allow 8 pages total page count for the responses to Hypothetical Tasks for Non DSS-SOC vice 1 page per task to allow for varying complexity of the task responses.

For the hypothetical tasks page requirement, per response to solicitation question #7, the non-DSS-SOC tasks will total 8 pages, and all tasks (including DSS-SOC) will total 12 pages. Regarding the response to question #3, it was not the intent of the Government to limit each task response to one page. The response wording references the increase in pages allowed. For the purposes of offerors' responses, the total of 8 pages (non-DSS-SOC tasks) and the total of 12 pages (all tasks to include DSS-SOC) are to be viewed as overall totals.

Will the Government allow contractors to include an 11x17 page in the response? If yes, would the 11x17 count as 1 page?

Offerors are to submit proposal information on letter-sized (8.5 x 11) pages.

Note: The deadline for Industry Submission of Questions has been extended to Wednesday, 17 April at 2:00PM Eastern. After this date and time, the Government may not respond to newly submitted questions.
