About this file

This is Amendment No. 0009 to solicitation N40085-26-R-9050 for repairs to MCB Camp Geiger, NC, issued by NAVPAC Mid-Atlantic on August 11, 2026, with an effective date of August 6, 2026. The amendment addresses a request for information regarding window specifications and provides updated technical documentation.

The amendment responds to a contractor question about the unavailability of hopper windows tested for large missile impact by authorizing a change from hopper to awning windows that project to the exterior. Section 08 51 13 (Aluminum Windows) is revised to reflect this change in Paragraph 2.1.1, and architectural drawings (Sheets A-201, A-202, A-203, and A-603, Window Marks A and B) are updated to specify awning function instead of hopper function for operable windows. The solicitation requires proposals to acknowledge receipt of this amendment prior to the proposal deadline of August 20, 2026 at 1:00 PM EST. The specification details requirements for aluminum window fabrication, installation, thermal performance, structural design (54 PSF wind loading for Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune), large-missile impact protection for glazing within 30 feet of grade, and compliance with AAMA/WDMA/CSA standards. All other terms and conditions of the original solicitation remain unchanged. Project No. 25-0010 is administered by NAVPAC Mid-Atlantic, Resident Officer in Charge of Construction, Camp Lejeune, NC.
