About this file

This is Amendment 0005 to a federal construction contract (N40085-26-R-9050) issued by NAVPAC Mid-Atlantic for a repair project at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. The amendment was effective July 23, 2026, and extends the deadline for receipt of proposals to August 12, 2026, at 2 PM EST. The amendment modifies the original solicitation and must be acknowledged by contractors upon proposal submission; failure to acknowledge may result in proposal rejection.

The amendment consists primarily of a Questions and Answers document addressing clarifications for two Building Equipment Quotations (BEQ G702 and BEQ G703). Key technical clarifications include: vandal proof hood vents are not required; adhesive pipe labels are not acceptable alternatives to snap-on or wrap-around labels; specification section 33 61 14 applies to all underground piping including hot domestic water, recirculating hot domestic water, and chilled water piping; minimum-security type grilles (not face plates with tamperproof screws) are required for air distribution; manual dampers are not required on branches to terminals equipped with opposed blade dampers; TMV-2 thermostatic mixing valves apply only to lavatories at 110°F, not to service sinks or mop sinks; domestic water connections must be provided for 12 washers per side; and pre-insulated piping must be routed to Mechanical Room 123b rather than 123A. All other contract terms and conditions remain unchanged.
