Also due to the complexity of the project, the number of line items, trades etc. we would repectfully request an extension of the due date of

30 days from the current due date.

16 03/04/21 Plan H-100

Asbestos spec section and all H series plans basically state that all plaster surfaces are to be assumed both lead and asbestos. Within most of your drawings, there are general notes that tell the contractor to "patch ceiling as necessary" and

"coordinate plaster removal with MEP's". There needs to be a definitive quantity of plaster ceiling removal specified so all bidders are on the same level playing field as it is left open to several different interpretations as to whether a plaster ceiling is damaged and needs to be removed and replaced. In addition, simply stating to coordinate cutting of walls and ceilings with MEP is not acceptable as again touched is presumed to be asbestos and lead containing and thus asbestos abatement contractors require a clear definition of their scope.

Please clarify.

This project construction sequence requires both hazmat mitigation and individual field inspections relative to MEP work to occur prior to new work. Contractor is required to coordinate hazmat work prior to new work.

Refer to both demolition drawings, hazmat drawings and specifications prior to initiating any new work.

Hazardous Material Summary Report prepared by CDW and included in specification as an attachment to SECTION

02 82 00 - ASBESTOS REMEDIATION

identifies hazards and quantities in isolated areas.

17 03/04/21 MEP

There is no safe access to the attic space as the opening is too small for any material to be hauled up there and Mechanical units

(even broken down into sections) will not fit up through the current opening. In addition the access ladder does not meet code. Can a large access hole be cut in one of the rooms so the attic can be accessed?

Contractor shall provide all means and methods as required to provide/install all noted scope of work. The Contractor is responsible for any patching/repairs to existing finishes to match existing materials in size, texture, color, and finish.

18 03/05/21 DWG EP-601

EP-601 note 1- instructs us to run new cables through the existing manholes 19 &

20. The only civil drawing that I can locate is C-101, and this does not have

Electrical manholes labelled. Please mark this drawing with the proper locations of manhole 19 &

20.

Bid Option # 3 electrical routing to be from the South East corner of Bldg 1A Pringle to a manhole EMH Rim Elevation 37.13 to be labeled #20 to a manhole in the South East corner of Bldg 3 (Mahan) located in concrete walk (CW) to be labeled #19; EMH Rim

Elevation 36.76.

19 03/05/21

Section

09 26

2.1.4.1

PLSTR-1: Will troweled-on applied Plaster be acceptable in lieu of the spray-applied finish for the ceilings?

No. The acoustical plaster finish is a system application that requires a lower density application that trowelling alone will not produce.

20 03/05/21 FA 001

One (1) addressable control module will be required to send general alarm signals to the security system.

24 03/05/21 FA 001

General

Fire alarm drawing (FA-101.0) shows three

(3) control modules for the elevator interface.

All control modules must comply with all applicable UFCs, specs and codes.

25 03/05/21 FA 001.5

The heat tracing is for the express piping that feeds stair 2 on the basement level (drawing

FP-100.5). The fire alarm system will monitor the heat tracing for off normal conditions.

28 31

2.13.12

2.13.12 references a printer for history logging. A printer is not depicted on the riser or floor plans. Is a printer required for history logging?

Printer can be deleted from the contract.

Contractor to provide a laptop with necessary software and hardware to download history of FA panel.

29 03/05/21

After visiting the site and seeing in person the number of constraints and obstacles our MEP contractors will have to endure in the crawl spaces and attic, and since there was no mechanical contractor present for the walkthrough, we request an additional Pre-Bid walkthrough. This additional walkthrough ensures our MEP contractors have eyes on the project and understand the detail of coordination required for their work scope to provide the government with sound and better value engineered pricing. Can an additional pre bid walkthrough be provided?

Additional site visit is scheduled for Monday

3/22/2021 - TIME CHANGED - -1300 --
