About this file
This document provides details on a federal solicitation for Hurricane Florence recovery construction work. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command seeks to award a firm-fixed price design-build contract to replace two bridges and a railroad trestle damaged at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune during Hurricane Florence. The work includes a movable bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway, replacement of a 2,500 foot White Oak River trestle and 60 foot Queens Creek trestle, and associated approach roads, abutments, lighting and demolition. The period of performance is 1,826 calendar days. The solicitation will utilize a two-phase evaluation including technical, past performance and price factors, with technical factors combined being equal in importance to past performance and all non-price factors combined significantly outweighing price. The anticipated award date is 20 July 2020.
