About this file
This document is a Questions & Answers (Q&A) file for solicitation N0018925R0043, addressing a contractor's inquiry about site visit base access requirements. The government clarified that "self-sponsorship" means contractors are responsible for obtaining their own base access for the scheduled site visit on 21 August. The government will not assist in sponsoring or researching base access methods for vendors, and contractors are expected to either already have current base access or know how to acquire it independently.

Questions & Answers N0018925R0043
1. Question: We would like to attend the site visit on 21 August, and I was looking for some help with the requirements to get on base. In the RFP on Page 97, it states Vendors must obtain self-sponsorship and send confirmation to you. Can you clarify what self sponsorship is, and what it is the procedure to acquire it?
Answer: By self-sponsorship, the Government means that it is the contractor’s responsibility to acquire access to the base so that you can attend the site visit, and contractors are expected to already have current base access or know how to get it. If you don’t already have access, we will not be providing sponsorship for you to get base access or otherwise researching this for you/figuring out how to get you on the base.
