About this file

This scope of work document outlines the requirements for an EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades Construction project at the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. The contractor will provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and project management to upgrade the facilities' electric, HVAC, fiber, and IT network infrastructure to support a new Electronic Health Record Modernization system. Key work includes electrical panel upgrades, HVAC and communication infrastructure renovations, expansion of telecom and server rooms, installation of redundant fiber backbone between buildings, and replacement of legacy cabling with Category 6A. Environmental considerations like phasing of work and maintaining hospital operations are noted. The Department of Veterans Affairs Technology Acquisition Center in Austin is the contracting agency.

This file also includes a basis of design narrative describing technical requirements for fire protection, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and security systems. Standards and guidelines are outlined for these building systems along with demolition and new construction scope. The level of detail in specifications and drawings will supersede information in this scope of work document.
