Questions and Answers Posted 24 July 2015
1. Are floor plans available that illustrate the current location of the existing chiller and existing test stands?
See attachments "B252 fp2008.pdf" and "Bldg252 TestingAreaDrawing.PDF".
2. Are floor plans available that show desired location of new equipment, including central workstation?
See attachment "Bldg252 TestingAreaDrawing.PDF".
3. Are dimensions and weights of the existing chiller and test stands available? These are needed to obtain quotes from a local vendor for removal.
See "Bldg252 TestingAreaDrawing.PDF". Test stands # 1-4 have base dimensions of 45" deep by 97" wide as seen in the drawing. They are 84" high excluding all piping, blowers, etc. attached to top of stands. The 15"x33" sink on test stand #1 and the 21"x33" sinks on test stands # 2-4 are removable. Test stand # 5 is 48" Deep and 84" wide as shown in drawing. Its 78" high excluding all connections made to the top of the stand. The door on the left side of the floorplan in "Bldg252 TestingAreaDrawing.PDF" is 70" wide and 95" high. See "Bldg252Pictures.pdf". All test stands and equipment must be moved in and out through this doorway.
The chiller is located outside the building (See "B252 fp2008.pdf"). The manufacturer claims a weight of 1100 lbs. The dimensions are 42" wide by 68" deep by 76" tall. The weights of test stands #1-5 are unknown.
Test stands #1-4 have an estimated weight of 5000 lbs and test stand #5 has an estimated weight of 3000 lbs.
4. PS 3.1.2 "Storage containers shall be supplied to store hookup kits" - can you provide more details on container expectations/requirements?
We didn't put much clarifying information on the purchase specification so it is open For the contractor to fulfill the requirement as they see best. The attached pictures In "Bldg252Pictures.pdf" show the current arrangement which is cheaply done.
