8. TEST.
Record all values in Table 2 as each test is performed.
8.1 Setup.
a. Install fuel flow divider valve assembly as shown in Figure 6 using 281600-7-1 Test Stand. Note the following:
(1) Valve #1 is a three position valve and
Valve #2 is a two position valve.
(2) Restrictor P/N 282917-8 or P/N 287539-8 may be used. Restrictor has an orifice diameter of 0.0280-inch with a flow of 47 to 53 pph at 100 ±1 psid.
(3) Use minimum 1/4'” hose on all lines in
Figure 6.
(4) The test stand return shall be an open return at ambient pressure for the entire test.
(5) Install assembled plug (6) including packing in one of the Primary Outlet ports (3).
8.2 Primary Outlet Flow Test.
a. Position Valve #1 to point towards the line without restrictor 282917-8 (or 287539-8).
b. Close Valve #2.
c. Apply 30 ±1 psig Fuel Supply pressure to Inlet Port.
d. Flow from Primary Port shall be 41 to 50 pph.
e. Decrease flow to zero.
8.3 Combined Flow Test with Restrictor. (Part No.
394284-6 only)
a. Position Valve #1 towards the line with restrictor 282917-8 (or 287539-8).
b. Disconnect line to Secondary Port.
c. Loosen nut (9) and turn adjustment screw clockwise (4) all the way in.
d. Increase Fuel Supply pressure to a minimum of 100 psig until flow is 58 to 62 pph.
e. Turn adjustment screw (4) counterclockwise until Secondary Port cracks 7 to 12 cc/min.
Replace body assembly if adjustment will not bring flow within limits.
f. Hold adjustment screw (4) and torque nut
(9) to 65 to 70 inch-pounds.
8.4 Leakage Check. (Part No. 394284-6 only)
a. Decrease Fuel Supply pressure until flow is
50 to 54 pph.
b. Leakage from Secondary Outlet Port shall not exceed 2 cc per minute.
c. If leakage exceeds 2 cc per minute, replace washer (Figure 2, 16). If leakage persists, replace bellows and poppet assembly (10).
8.5 Combined Flow Test without Restrictor. (Part
No. 394284-6 only)
a. Reconnect line to Secondary Port.
b. Position Valve #1 to point towards the line without restrictor 282917-8 (or 287539-8).
c. Open Valve #2.
d. Apply 90 ± 2 psig Fuel Supply. Flow shall be 590 pph minimum.
8.6 Post Test.
a. Decrease pressure and shut down 281600-7-
1 Test Stand.
b. Remove assembled plug (6) and lines to fuel flow divider valve assembly.
c. Drain flow divider.
d. Plug all open ports.
e. Safety wire nut (9) using lockwire (13-42).
