Epoxy IDIQ Solicitation FA8201-23-R-0010 Questions and Answers
1. What is the required product spec for the epoxy used mostly on base?
Most of the time, a basic epoxy floor system is used (see attached spec UFGS 09 67 23.13 and UFGS 09 90 00 for that). Sometimes it needs more non-slip grit added for slippery areas.
2. What is the current product that the incumbent was using in the adjacent space of the seed project?
Oil Stop Primer Sherwin Williams 3504, TPM 115 3/16" trowel down Sherwin Williams (primer SW 3579, Mortar resin SW 3561, Topcoats SW 3744/Urethane HardTop, and Sherwin Williams Polylon HP for line striping).
3. Are 100% solid epoxy resins to be used at any time during the duration of the contract?
If the system meets or exceeds the UFGS specification, it shall be used. If the system repeatedly fails, the government will ask for a different system to be used.
4. Are slurry systems used?
If the system meets or exceeds the UFGS specification, it shall be used. If the system repeatedly fails, the government will ask for a different system to be used.
5. What type of system will be used most, urethane epoxy cement, epoxy slurry or 100% solid epoxy resins?
If the system meets or exceeds the UFGS specification, it shall be used. If the system repeatedly fails, the government will ask for a different system to be used.
6. Who is the incumbent?
This information will not be given at this time but a post-award letter with the winning Contractor will be sent to all offerors.
