About this file
This is a site visit notes document from an Integrated Facility Monitoring and Protection System (IMPS) 2 procurement conducted on April 2, 2026. The site visit was attended by TSgt Dolley (Customer/PIO) and TSgt Rohrs (Contracting Specialist) to address contractor questions regarding project requirements and site conditions.
The document identifies seven key questions requiring clarification: whether Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) are required on the fence; camera specifications; VAT and Customs handling procedures; guard booth requirements (noted as called out in bid sheet but absent from drawings); clarity needed on addendum drawings regarding existing versus new construction; delineation of existing items, demolition extent, and storage/work areas on updated drawings; and generator placement specifications for two 20 KW units relative to flight line stand-off requirements. All questions are to be answered through Amendment 3 of the Questions and Answers document. Key clarifications established that the facility to be monitored is already constructed with the majority of work occurring inside; lighting will be located around the building perimeter and on an adjacent fence between the Secure Storage Area (SSA) and the facility; the proposal scope covers only one facility; and site visit requests will be accepted until the deadline posted on SAM.gov.

Site Visit Notes – IMPS 2 April 2026
Attended:
TSgt Dolley PIO - Customer TSgt Rohrs Contracting Specialist
Questions:
1. Is it required to have IDS on the fence?
2. Is there a spec for the cameras?
3. How is VAT and Customs handled?
4. Bid sheet calls-out a guard booth. None is shown on the drawings. Is this required?
5. The addendum drawing is not clear on what exists and what does not. Can the drawing be replotted on a 11x17 with a new scale for site calculation.
6. Is it possible to delineate existing items on the drawing and extent of demolition and clarify areas of storage and work.
7. PWS has a requirement for 2 ea. 20 KW Generators. What is the stand-off requirements for generators near the flight line? Is there enough distance for them?
Questions will be answered on Q and A document Amendment 3
Clarifications:
The facility that will be monitored is already constructed. Majority of work will occur inside the facility.
Lights are to be located all around the building, lights are also located on the adjacent fence between the SSA and the facility.
This proposal shall be focused on only one facility.
Site visit requests will continue to be considered until the date listed on the SAM.gov posting.
