STATEMENT OF WORK
FOR
PROJECT FTQW 16-2001
Repair North St. (Central to RR tracks)
1.0 SCOPE: Furnish all labor, supplies, parts, transportation, tools, equipment, and facilities necessary to perform work required to complete project FTQW 16-2001 in strict accordance with this Statement of Work and IDIQ contract specifications.
2.0 DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This project consists of curb & gutter repair, sidewalk repair, adding new sidewalk, asphalt repair and pavement markings along North Street. Contaminated soil may be encountered because work for this project lies within the SS62 contaminated zone and ST59 buffer zone.
3.0 SIDEWALK AND CURB/GUTTER REPLACEMENT
3.1 Sawcut (est. 325 IN-FT), remove and replace curb/gutter and sidewalks unless otherwise annotated on map, from Central Ave to Railroad tracks. (est 600 SF sidewalk/1100 LF curb) Excavate as necessary behind sidewalks for formwork. (est. 160 CY) Where
California style curb exists, demolish transition portions from California curb to high-profile curb and continue California style curb. Install transition to high-profile curb at project limits.
3.2 Scarify, grade and compact existing base.
3.3 Add RAP as needed to establish grade (sub-base for curbs & sidewalks).
3.4 Install California style curb profile.(est. 1100 LF) Pour new 4’ wide sidewalk. (est. 1200
SF) Add new sidewalk where none exists. (See Map, JA-29)
3.5 Backfill excavation for sidewalk formwork with 6” topsoil and hydroseed.
4.0 ASPHALT PATCHING
4.1 Sawcut and remove asphalt as shown on map. (est. 2500 SY)
4.2 Scarify, grade and compact existing base course. Cut ditch and grade so drainage flows into the slough. Meet a minimum of 1% slope for all surfaces. (see map for drainage plan)(est. 2210 SY)
4.3 Add RAP as needed to establish grade (base course for roadways). (est. 200 CY)
4.4 In low lying area near slough crossing place sub base structural fill and top with 6” D-1 base course. (est. 185 CY)
4.4 Place and compact 3” HMA.(est. 498 Ton)
4.5 Paint new asphalt with MMA, 4” lines in accordance with the Manual for Uniform
Traffic Control Devices. (est. 2200 LF)
5.0 SUBMITTALS: As indicated in the attached AF Form 66, Schedule of Material Submittals.
6.0 GOVERNMENT FURNISHED MATERIALS: None.
