STATEMENT OF WORK
FOR
PROJECT FTQW 16-2001
Repair North St. (Central to RR tracks)
1.0 SCOPE: Furnish all labor, supplies, parts, transportation, tools, equipment, and facilities necessary to perform work required to complete project FTQW 16-2001 in strict accordance with this Statement of Work and IDIQ contract specifications.
2.0 DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This project consists of curb & gutter repair, sidewalk repair, adding new sidewalk, asphalt repair and pavement markings along North Street. Contaminated soil may be encountered because work for this project lies within the SS62 and ST59 buffer zones. The following work items should result in a complete and useable product upon completion. Prospective contractors shall take their own measurements and confirm quantities or suggest quantity discrepancies before bid opening.
3.0 SIDEWALK AND CURB/GUTTER REPLACEMENT
3.1 Sawcut (120 IN-FT), remove and replace curb/gutter and sidewalks unless otherwise annotated on map, from Central Ave to Railroad tracks. (1752 SF sidewalk/1100 LF curb)
Excavate as necessary behind sidewalks for formwork; estimated at 2 feet out and 1 foot deep. (70 CY) Where California style curb exists, demolish transition portions from
California curb to high-profile curb and continue California style curb. Install transition to high-profile curb at project limits if necessary. At each intersection the sidewalk and curb shall transition to level out flush with the pavement. Do not remove concrete patch crossing North St east of the parking lot entrance to the Gold Rush Inn. This is a concrete cap over utilities.
3.2 Scarify, grade and compact existing base. (650.5 SY)
3.3 Add RAP as needed to establish grade (sub-base for curbs & sidewalks; average of 2 inches for entire sidewalk area is used for estimation). (36.5 CY)
3.4 Install California style curb profile.(1035 LF) Pour new 4’ wide sidewalk. (3784 SF)
Add new sidewalk where none exists along North Street. (See Map, Tab 5)
3.5 Backfill excavation for sidewalk formwork with 6” topsoil and hydroseed. (211 CY)
4.0 ASPHALT PATCHING
4.1 Sawcut (621 IN-FT) and remove asphalt as shown on map. Sawcut 5 feet into existing pavement for entrance into Gold Rush Inn parking lot (South of North Street) and 5 feet into existing pavement north of where there is currently gravel (parking lot of East Loop).
Area of existing parking lot section that is currently gravel is 5814SF. (2074 SY)
4.2 Scarify, grade and compact existing base course. Cut ditch and grade so drainage flows into the slough. Meet a minimum of 1% slope for all surfaces. (2251 SY)
4.3 Add RAP as needed to establish grade (base course for roadways; average of 2 inches for entire area receiving asphalt is used for estimation). (151 CY)
4.4 In low lying area east of slough/railroad crossing place sub base structural fill to increase elevation of the road establishing a constant gradual transition of North Street for the area identified by the map. (66CY; 1.5 ft of sub-base estimated over an area of 1185SF) Cap with 6” D-1 base course (22 CY; spread over this same 1185SF area)
4.4 Place and compact 3” HMA. (455 Ton)
4.5 Paint new asphalt with MMA in accordance with the Manual for Uniform Traffic
Control Devices. (962 LF, 22.5SF)
4.5.1 Paint a solid double yellow line. (962 LF)
4.5.2 Paint a 1.5 foot wide stop bar on East Loop Rd and shall be placed not more than 30 feet or less than 8 feet from the nearest edge of North St. (22.5SF)
5.0 SUBMITTALS: As indicated in the attached AF Form 66, Schedule of Material Submittals.
6.0 GOVERNMENT FURNISHED MATERIALS: None.
