4. Is it permissible for personnel to have dual roles? For example, could Fire Protection and Life Safety be the same individual?
Answer: A person can have dual roles but must be licensed/certified in each capacity. For example if we have a fire protection system designed and certified, we want a licensed fire protection engineer to stamp the plans not an individual with a life safety certification.
5. Is licensing in South Dakota required or would reciprocity be acceptable?
Answer: Reciprocity would be acceptable. The contractor must comply with South Dakota reciprocity requirements.
