Proposed Solicitation Evaluation Factors:

Technical Overview

Two Parts to the Technical Evaluation: Management Approach and Demonstration Project Approach
Unacceptable offers will be excluded from further competition because that offer will not be eligible for award
Rating Definition

Acceptable: Meets minimum mandatory requirements.

Reasonably Susceptible to Being Made Acceptable: Does not meet minimum mandatory requirements as is, but is susceptible of being made acceptable with clarifications.

Unacceptable: Does not meet minimum mandatory requirements.

Proposed Solicitation Evaluation Factors Technical: Management Approach

Evaluated on three subfactors: Key Project Management/Technical Support, Quality Control, and Subcontract Management
Key Project Management/Technical Support

Offeror addresses their management organization, including a description of functions, authorities and credentials of key management personnel fulfilling at a minimum the personnel requirements specified within the contract specification paragraph 2.1.

Quality Control

Offeror addresses their approach to quality control. Offerors submit a Quality Control Plan that as a minimum meets the requirements of the contract specification paragraphs 2.2.1 through 2.2.1.1.7.

Offeror describes the method and criteria to be used in selection of subcontractors. Methods and criteria described should include consideration of subcontractor’s previous experience, present capabilities, and quality of previous jobs. Policies and procedures should ensure effective management of subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship and timely completion.

Proposed Solicitation Evaluation Factors Technical: Demonstration Project

WHY STANDARDIZED PRESENTATIONS

Non Standard Formats Create:

Hodge-podge and Unprofessional Looking Slides

Poorly Projected Ideas/Images

Complicated Mixed Software

Other Formats Expensive & Labor Intensive

Plastic slides (Overhead transparencies) are expensive and hard to change.

If there’s no standard when briefing the AMC command section, they get:

- Hodge-podge and unprofessional looking slides

- Many projected poorly

-- Hard to read and no consistency of color or format.

-- More re-work and waste of resources (time, money, material, manpower)

Another reason we have an electronic presentation standard - PowerPoint, is our move towards a paperless headquarters

- Acetate free too.

- PowerPoint slides can be e-mailed for pre-view, coordination and sharing

SUMMARY AND CLOSURE:

Well now you know the AMC standard for presentations and have had a little practice creating a presentation. If you’re giving a presentation “here” you’ll need to use the AMC Standard. It’s very easy to create a basic brief, and not too hard to spruce it up a bit. Just remember that your slides are there to supplement your brief. Don’t get so fancy that your slides become the focus of the presentation. Once you’re used to it, PowerPoint can be a lot of fun and you’ll cruise through any briefings or slides you’ll need to create during your tour here.
