About this file
This document is a Task Assignment Notification Form used by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to assign specific work tasks under an indefinite delivery contract for title closing services. The form serves as the operational mechanism for initiating individual task orders within the broader contract vehicle, requiring approval from DEP contract managers, contractual authority, and funding authority before execution.
The contract provides title closing services including title searches, title commitments, title insurance policies, and closing fees. Compensation is structured according to an approved rate schedule (Exhibit "B") with specific fees for commitment-only services and additional payments when closings occur, based on promulgated insurance rates and closing statement fees. Each task assignment includes a defined scope of work, parcel identification information, performance measures requiring DEP review of deliverables, and liquidated damage provisions for unsatisfactory work. The contractor is afforded the opportunity to remedy deficiencies at no cost to DEP. The form requires specification of an amount not to exceed, title commitment due date (measured in days from task assignment execution), and task assignment end date (measured in days after closing completion). Funding sources are documented through organizational codes, budget entities, and project numbers for tracking purposes.
