1) Question: Can we assume the State will be providing the Builder's Risk insurance, obtaining the building permit, and covering all required special testing and inspections?

Answer: Insurance, per the Sample Contract, Attachment D-5 will be required on this contract and does include a Contractor policy for Builder's Risk. Building permit fees for this project have already been paid. All other permits are the responsibility of the Contractor as stated in the Contract Documents. Contractor will be responsible for special testing and inspections, per the Specifications (testing firm is Carlson Testing).

2) Question: In order to get a quote for Builders Risk, we will need the following questions answered.

1. Year built for the existing structure:

2. Value of the existing structure:

3. Does the building have an operable sprinkler system?

4. Will the building be occupied during construction? If so, by who?

5. Date the existing structure was purchased:

6. Will there be any structural alterations?

10) Question: There is no specific reference for skylight glazing. Reference 086300.2.02.A.3 Glazing:

Insulating glass as specified in 08 8000. Reference 088000.3.02.A.1 Basis of Design (Exterior)- Type G1: “1 7/16” SB70VT #2 on Clear Tempered Insulated Secur-Tem + Poly 2116”. This designation is a Security Glazing Product that is typically for exterior windows and door relites where the public/ occupants are within striking distance of the glass. This is the only insulated glass reference in the 088000 Glazing specification. Typically Insulated skylight glass is not accessible by the public and would not be required to be security glazing. The skylight glass for this product would be: Unit Make-up: 1-5/16” Insulated Units with a warm edge spacer and Argon filled. Outer lite: ¼” Vitro Solarban 70 #2 Low-E, Inner lite: 9/16” heat-strengthened laminated glass with (2) lites of ¼” clear glass and a

0.060 Clear PVB lamina interlayer. Skylight glass does not require a Security Glazing product and will be acceptable as noted in the 1-5/16” Unit Make-up description as proposed, or advise desired product.

Answer: See updated Specification Section 08 80 00 - Glazing in Addendum 2.

11) Question: Has there been a hazardous material survey done for the existing building area that will be getting modified? If so, can you provide the report? There is concern that some of the existing floor may contain asbestos.

Answer: See response to Q9 above.

12) Question: A8.01 Details do not align with the systems shown. Storefronts will not have Tamper

Resistant Parts, Aluminum windows have no details shown. Glass Types are not called out any where we see. Please clarify. See detail F, H and 12.

13) Question: D0.01 Does this roof section along gridline 8D have a wall structure underneath? Is this a breeze way? What is the existing roof that we need to match?

Answer: Yes, there is a singular existing structural wall to remain under the roof see Drawing 2/A2.02 for additional work to be done in that area.

14) Question: I was reviewing the plans again and caught an oversight on my part. On Sheets A2.21, A5.01, A5.02, and A5.03, within the Equipment Legend, I initially misread the OFOI, OFCI, and CFCI designations. Once I realized my mistake, I noticed that the contractor is responsible for providing the furniture, mirror, and whiteboard. With that in mind, I either cannot locate them or may be overlooking them, but I have not been able to find any specifications or schedule identifying the required furniture. Can you point me to the appropriate drawing or specification section where this information can be found?

Answer: See response to Q4 above.

15) Question: I would like to get more info on the skylights. A3.11 C6 shows (3) skylights but A1.01 indicates (4) skylights. Which is correct?

16) Question: On the plans Elevation 14 on A5.02 Shows a small desk? Labeled D-WM. I can’t find any other reference to that. Can you point me in the right direction or is this something owner provided?

Answer: See response to Q4 above.

17) Question: Can additional information or details be provided regarding the Contractor Furnished, Contractor Installed (CFCI) furniture identified in the Equipment Legends on Sheets A2.21, A5.01, A5.02, and A5.03? Specifically, we are requesting sufficient information to identify the required furniture, specifications, and any other information necessary for accurate pricing and procurement.

Answer: See response to Q4 above.

18) Question: Sheet E6.00 (One-Line Diagram) indicates that panel SC-6 is fed from the campus primary distribution. Please clarify the following:

a. Is the campus primary distribution located on the project property?

b. Is the campus primary distribution privately owned or utility owned?

c. Is there an upstream disconnecting means ahead of panel SC-6? If so, can its location and characteristics be identified?

Answer: This information is currently not available.

19) Question: Please review sheet D1.01, project type note 6. “owner removes furniture”. Keynote D5 “contractor to remove furniture”. Which is correct.

Answer: We are not able to find this note on Drawing sheet D1.01, but OYA will clear the furniture.

20) Question: Please review M01.02. There is an RTU coming off at grid 0.9/A.6. There is not a detail in this area on the roof plan to patch this. Can we cap this with sheet metal?

Answer: Yes, the existing curb for the removed RTU can be capped airtight over the existing curb.

Provide internal insulation within the curb before installing the cap to close the opening.

21) Question: See 2/S204 brace shown. What material is this made out of? What is the spacing on the brace? Where is it on the drawings?

Answer: 2" diameter steel pipe brace per S.2.01 in Addendum 1.

22) Question: In 27 10 00 - Patch cords a quantity one for each pair: What is the desired length of patch cords in closet and in the field?

Answer: This information is currently not available.

23) Question: On T3-11 flag note: 9 Basis of Design - Heavy Duty wall frame #15320T24 20RU: This is a 300lbs max rack. Would a swing gate be an approved substitution scope of work for this for ease of termination? This substitute would provide 100lbs max support.

Answer: No, please bid according to the Plans and Specifications.

24) Question: Where are all the locations for the impact rated vision control glass?

Answer: Per Specification 08 88 61 issued with Addendum 2, all interior glazing is to be impact rated vision control glass.

25) Question: Fire-Rated Wall Assembly — IBC Classification and Wall Type Deficiency per G1.01 (Fire/Life Safety Plan); G2.01 (Partition Schedule); A2.11 (Enlarged Plan — Patient Area). The smoke barrier/partition enclosing the Day Room / Patient Room area is shown on G1.01 (Fire/Life Safety Plan) but has not been assigned an hourly rating, IBC classification, or UL/GA system number in any document within the bid package. Additionally, this assembly is assigned Wall Type P13 (Non-Rated Partition Type 1) per G2.01, which requires the wall to extend only 6 inches above the ceiling — a height insufficient for either a smoke barrier or smoke partition. SFS cannot select compliant firestop systems or accurately bid HOW/BOW joints without this information. We suggest upgrading the Day Room / Patient Room enclosure wall to a minimum of Wall Type P3 (smoke partition, one side continuous to structure) if the design team confirms classification as a smoke partition under IBC Section 710, or a new fully rated 1-hour wall type with both sides continuous to structure if confirmed as a 1-hour smoke barrier under IBC Section 709. Regardless of classification, an updated partition schedule entry with hourly rating and UL or GA system numbers is required before SFS can select compliant firestop systems for HOW/BOW joints.

1. Confirm whether the assembly at the Day Room / Patient Room enclosure (G1.01) is a 1-hour smoke barrier (IBC Section 709) or a smoke partition (IBC Section 710), and provide the required F-rating.

2. The wall type assigned to this assembly is P13 (Non-Rated Partition Type 1), which per G2.01 requires the wall to extend only 6 inches above ceiling — insufficient for a rated smoke assembly. Please provide an updated wall type: at minimum P3 (smoke partition, one side continuous to structure) if classified as a smoke partition, or a new rated wall type with both sides continuous to structure if classified as a 1-hour smoke barrier.

Answer: The Dayroom walls are to be a smoke partition and has been updated to P33P partition types, See updated Drawing A2.11 in Addendum 3.

26) Question: Per G2.01, Wall Type P13 is a Non-Rated Partition that extends 6 inches above ceiling.

Building Sections on A4.21 depict walls in this area continuous to structure. Please confirm which condition governs for P13 wall locations on this project. If walls extend to structure, all through-penetrations and head-of-wall joints above the ceiling must be firestopped or acoustically sealed. If walls terminate above ceiling, no through-penetrations or joints above the ceiling require firestop or acoustical treatment.

Possible Solution:

• Issue a written clarification confirming G2.01 governs and P13 walls terminate 6 inches above ceiling — no revision to wall type required.

• Issue a revised wall type for all P13 locations required to extend to structure, with applicable UL assembly designations. At minimum, the Day Room / Patient Room smoke assembly should be reissued as a 1-hour smoke barrier wall type with both sides continuous to structure.

1. Please confirm which document governs wall height for P13 wall types: G2.01 (Partition Schedule

— 6 inches above ceiling) or A4.21 (Building Sections — continuous to structure). If there is a conflict, please issue a revised drawing or written clarification identifying which condition applies at each P13 wall location.

2. The Day Room / Patient Room smoke assembly is assigned Wall Type P13 per G2.01. P13 is insufficient for either a smoke partition or smoke barrier. Please provide a revised wall type — at minimum P3 (smoke partition, one side continuous to structure) or a new rated wall type with both sides continuous to structure for a 1-hour smoke barrier.

Answer: Drawing G2.01 governs partition heights. Also see updated Drawing sheet A2.11 for change of partition type for smoke partition at dayroom issued in Addendum 3.
