About this file

This is an Insurance Approval Request Memo from the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) dated November 25, 2025, documenting internal approval for insurance requirements associated with the Community Engagement Consultant Services contract opportunity. The memo confirms that OCTA has reviewed and approved the insurance coverage specifications necessary for qualified consultants participating in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of a community outreach program targeting Orange County's underserved and underrepresented communities. The contract carries a total budget of $885,000 for an initial two-year term, with the insurance approval serving as a prerequisite administrative step in the procurement process.

The memo establishes mandatory insurance requirements that prospective bidders must meet to be considered for contract award. These insurance provisions are standard risk management protocols implemented by OCTA to protect the authority and ensure adequate coverage during the consultant's performance of services. The approval of these insurance specifications represents completion of internal compliance review and indicates that OCTA is prepared to enforce these requirements through the competitive solicitation process and subsequent contract execution with the selected consultant.
