About this file
This is a Davis Bacon Wage Determination Act attachment document issued by the District of Columbia Department of General Services in support of the Design-Build Services for Hendley ES Modernization project. The document establishes prevailing wage requirements applicable to the modernization of Hendley Elementary School located at 425 Chesapeake Street SE, Washington, DC 20032. The project encompasses approximately 79,575 square feet of combined renovation and new construction, including outdoor play and educational areas, a turf field (U-8 size minimum), parking and loading facilities, and site fencing. This wage determination document ensures compliance with federal prevailing wage standards for all laborers and mechanics employed on the project.
The Davis Bacon Wage Determination specifies the prevailing wage rates that must be paid to workers performing construction and related work on this federally-funded or federally-assisted project. All contractors and subcontractors engaged in the design-build work must comply with the prescribed wage rates outlined in the determination for their respective classifications and trades. These prevailing wage requirements apply to all laborers, mechanics, and other workers on the project site and represent a mandatory cost component for bidders preparing their proposals for the Hendley ES modernization contract.
