About this file

This document includes a preventative maintenance checklist and details for a related federal contract opportunity. The maintenance checklist outlines inspection and testing procedures for head tank freeze protection pumps and bilge pumps. It requires mechanics to check equipment mounting, operation, insulation, connections and indicator lights. Vibration readings must be recorded from multiple locations on the pumps and motors.

The associated federal contract opportunity is a competitive small business set-aside solicitation issued by the Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division. It seeks proposals for preventative maintenance, repair, and chemical treatment services for cooling water equipment and systems at various government buildings at the Philadelphia Navy Yard. Services will be acquired through an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract with fixed pricing. A mandatory site visit will be held on February 20, 2024, with requests to attend due no later than February 16.
